Any AP in the future to just use CRB, UC, UM, & APG?

Hey All, I was wondering if there are any plans in the future for having an AP that uses just the CRB, UC, UM, & APG classes? I like the APs but I don't have all the newer books (Advanced Class Guide, Unchained, Occult, & the like) & I am simple in my gaming I just like the few books I listed, but I see that just about every enemy you fight in the APs are classed with all the new classes that I don't know. I want to keep the subscription but if I can't use them it is a waste of money (something that I really don't have a lot of). Later

All of the AP material should be usable with just the resources on the PRD, so you don't need to buy the additional books unless you want them!

Your friends are:

www.d20pfsrd.com (the most comprehensive and most easily searchable, but has a sprinkling of errors and strange omissions)

Archives of Nethys (the best overall, but doesn't have some stuff that www.d20pfsrd.com has)

The Paizo PRD (the official reference document set, but hardest to find stuff in, including that it doesn't update existing entries when new rulebooks come out, so that you have to search for the corresponding different entries)

Wow! Those are really nice friends.
It will help a lot because I was up all night reading Ironfang Invasion & now that I can know what certain things do, it makes it easier.
The only thing is getting it on Hero Lab. But I think it will be worth it. Might take a few Gold Pieces but should be doable.
Thanks a lot.

d20psfrd also has strange things were it changes names of things for some bizarre reasons <-< Like red mantis assasins are called crimson assasins. Like, okay, idea seems to be making them more setting generic, but how is crimson better than red mantis when class still has ability to transform into giant mantis?...

Because d20pfsrd has a store, it changes those things for copyright reasons.

Archives of Nephys doesn't have a store, so doesn't have to.

^This. Fan projects can use IP, but once you start making money from it, you become a commercial site and are governed by different rules regarding Paizo's intellectual property. When they added their store, d20pfsrd had to go through and change all the Golarion-specific names.

^Yes, I remember this. I wish they had left www.d20pfsrd.com as a non-store site and introduced the store on another site (sort of like www.pathfindercommunity.net is a sister site to www.d20pfsrd.com that can use IP names, although it doesn't seem to have kept up to date). It would have been a lot less conversion pain, and the different store site could have been made free of IP names from the ground up.

I'm not sure that would work, to be honest (although I'm not sure it wouldn't, either).

It's a Community Use Policy issue - that's the license by which you can use some of Paizo's IP in various ways. The sticking point is that it's for non-commercial users (as opposed to non-commercial products).

I think there's an argument that, if you're running a webstore, you're a commercial entity and therefore precluded from using the CUP - even if you did so via a standalone website.

Probably would work with 2 organizations -- non-profit for the Community Use content site and profit for the store, each with its own site. Although I am not a legal expert, I think that this would work by way of analogy with the possibility to have associated organizations of which 1 takes tax-deductible contributions for charity work and 1 takes non-tax-deductible contributions for political action.

Possibly. It depends on the definition of "you" in the CUP.

"It depends"

The lawyer answer to just about everything, right?

Happy as I am for the OP to have learned of all the useful community tools, I thoroughly agree with the initial sentiment. I would love to have an AP that limits itself a bit, Core or Core plus some specific set of additional books (and not the ACG). As I ponder what AP will come next when I wrap up Tsar and Mummy's Mask, I'm actually casting back towards Kingmaker, as the last AP I haven't played or run that wouldn't be full of splat.
