Hey, so I've been looking at trying to make a high level tank build that relies on using shared sacrifice on a big bad and running in blindly, but there are a few things I haven't been able to get answered about this yet.
A- If I used empower spell on shared sacrifice, would I then be redirecting 75% of the damage to the target since 1/2 is a number?
B- If I were to have Shared Sacrifice and Unwilling shield both on, would I be reducing damage by 50% or would they stack to make it so I was only taking 25% damage
C- If A and B are yes, then if I empower both I would be taking a total of 6.25% of the damage and redirecting the other 93.75% to the opponent, correct?
D- Additionally, if someone else in the party were to cast shield other would that stack?
E- Does damage reduction/Energy Resistance apply before or after the split?
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bit but that's most of what's been keeping me from going at it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

(A) No, because it is not a variable number (reread Empower Spell).
(C) n/a
(B,D) Being linked to two or more different creatures makes for tricky interactions---it's not just how much of the damage you take, what happens to the rest of it? You don't need to mix different spells to have this come up, you could just be getting shield other from two different allies.
Frankly as a GM I would probably say that once you have such a damage-sharing link in place (from whatever spell, to whomever) any attempts to add another one simply fail. But that's clearly not RAW.
I suppose I'd have to say that the links share damage one at a time. If you've got Shared Sacrifice to creature C1, then add shield other from creature C2, then get Unwilling Shield to creature C3, then take 1000 points of damage, C1 takes 500, C2 takes 250, C3 takes 125, and you take the remaining 125. That's not really entailed by RAW but it doesn't contradict RAW either (unlike my previous suggestion).
However, "check with your GM and expect table variance" definitely applies to this one!
(E) Consider this one along with the question "does the type of damage get transmitted through the link?" If you're hit for 100 pts of fire damage, does your buddy ever get to apply his fire resistance? I have to say he does, which means such things get applied after the split (nice!).
Particularly nasty tactic: find out what energy your foe is vulnerable to; become immune (or highly resistant) to it; cast Shared Sacrifice or Unwilling Shield; have your pals bombard you with that energy. You end up with no damage, your enemy ends up with tons.
