WotC Announcement here.
Goodman Games announcement here.
I'm not sure if there is any significant difference between those tow links, nor if this has been mentioned here before.
I find it interesting - presumably WotC are getting a lot of positive feedback regarding the updating of prior-edition material. It definitely suits my preferences.
I'd also like a new storyline to run alongside this, although I'm not particularly hopeful that will happen, given the release rate they've adopted for 5E.

Sounds good, I quite like the conversions put out so far (just got 'Tales from the Yawning Portal). I wish Goodman Games would convert some of their old 3rd edition settings for 5th edition. I loved 'Broncosaurus Rex' and would happily buy a new version, especially if I could get it hard copy(I am a book person, LOL).

I'm hoping this series does well enough that Goodman Games puts out a 5E conversion of Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. I started to run that adventure once, using 2E, but we didn't get very far. I started 3E and PF conversions at various times, but think that 5E would capture the feel of the original far more effectively.
If that hasn't happened by the time I finish running everything in Tales from the Yawning Portal for my kids, then at least I should know the system well enough by then to convert it myself.

I'd love to hear how it is.
Here's the latest update from their website: goodman-games.com/blog/2017/09/17/an-update-on-into-the-borderlands/
I'm interested in the concept, but concerned about the 300-page size. I was expecting something smaller, at a lower price point, since I would be buying it mainly for nostalgia's sake.
