Purchased Items, Gold, Fame, and Masterwork

One of my PCs purchased a wand of glitterdust prior to starting the campaign from the gold he has accumulated from the adventure paths:
1) The purchase of items either before, during, or after the campaign is deducted and not replenished? Meaning, if the PCs purchase wands or potions half way through an adventure, they do not recoup that gold but they retain their potions?
2) I read in the society rules that depending on your fame level depends on your ability to purchase expensive items. However, it also states that items in the core rule book are always available. Does that mean despite fame they can purchase items that are worth 1k gold?
3) One of my PCs made his longsword masterwork - does this give a +1 bonus or makes it a 'magical' item?

thank you!

edit: When entering my Adventure paths (#8-01( sessions - do i click RPG on PFC?

1) Yes, players receive gold rewards at the end of encounters as written and can spend that gold during play, but it still counts as a normal purchase at the end of the scenario.

2) That's not entirely right, but more or less, if an item is on the Always Available list, it remains Always Available and can be purchased with low or no Fame, regardless of how much it costs. For example, adamantine full plate +1 costs 17,500 gp and can be purchased with 0 Fame. The price of an item also affects what size settlement you need to find it.

3) As described in the Core Rulebook, a masterwork weapon has a +1 enhancement bonus to attack rolls, but is not magical.

Are you the GM? Only the GM reports the sessions for your character.

RPG stands for the normal Pathfinder Society.
PFC stands for Pathfinder Society Core.

after a PC receives a chronicle sheet - are those items on the "always available" list, despite the gp cost?

For that PC, yes.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Just a note, items in the core rule book are not all always available. Reread wherever you think you read that.
