Question about session count

Hello,
thank you for being an overwhelmingly positive community. I started GMing for PFS last month (December 2016) with a group of friends utilizing the current season's (Season 8) modules. When reporting on the website it asks how many sessions. We did the module (scenario? im not too sure the actual name for it) in two nights. Meeting ~1930 and finishing around MIDNIGHT. Since then we are on our third module meeting weekly!

When reporting on the website do i count it as "ONE SESSION" since its only ONE TABLE but over TWO nights?

thank you
-Joe

PS. looking forward to meeting everyone at Paizocon!

I assume you are referring to the actual event setup when you talk about the number of sessions. You can ignore that. Just add the individual modules/scenarios/APs/Quests you are running to the event, and then report the games you run and the session count will update itself as you report.

^ What Jesse said.

I will note that modules count as two tables for GM stars, though. They give you extra credit for them because most modules take multiple sessions.

Hmm

Maybe Module is the wrong term - we are running the quests from the current Year of the Stolen Storm - are those called modules?

Organized play! I think that is what they are called!

It's all a bit confusing, I know. The 'official' terminology is:

  • A scenario is probably what you are running - a short adventure such as "#8-04: Wardens of Sulfur Gulch". The name indicates this is the fourth scenario released in Season 8 (The Year of the Stolen Storm).
  • A module is a (generally longer) adventure not written specifically for Pathfinder Society play, but which has been approved ('sanctioned') for use at Pathfinder Society events.
  • a quest is yet a third type - a collection of several short mini-adventures with a common theme. An example would be "Honor's Echo", which was alse released as part of The Year of the Stolen Storm.
