Chronicle Gold for Evergreen subtiers?

I ran the confirmation a week ago. I have a player who was level 2, but played in a group of level 1s. Do I give that player subtier 1 gold or subtier 2?

The Confirmation has an out of subtier gold reward of 469 gp.
