Crypt of the Everflame - Chronicle Sheet Cost Wrong?

On the chronicle sheet for Crypt of the Everflame it lists a +1 bashing heavy steel shield for 4,170 gold. When I do the math to make it though: 20+150+1000+4000 = 5,170. If I assume the bashing is on the attack side, then it is 20+150+1000+1000=2,170.

Is the chronicle sheet listing the wrong price or is it giving the player a 1,000 gold discount?

I am asking because the player really wants a +1 bashing light steel shield for two-handed fighting, and I cannot figure out what the cost should be. It is for PFS play, so it has to be valid for other GM's and not just me.

You are adding the +1 bonus twice. +1 bashing is equivalent to a +2 bonus, which costs 4,000 total. So, your math should be 20+150+4,000 = 4,170.

The chronicle is correct.

To expand on what King said, when you determine the cost of a magic weapon or armor, total up all of the bonus/bonus equivalents, then look on the chart for the total cost (plus the weapon and masterwork enhancement). The cost on the chart is for the final item, not an incremental addition.
