So if I want to play Wrath of the Righteous adventure card game but use a character from a different base set (like Hakon for example) - what is the best/easiest (cheapest) way to get such a character? (Without having to buy the other base sets?) I would like to have a wider selection of male characters than the WotR and it's specific add-on deck offer. I think it's possible to use characters from other ACG base sets in any other base set (albeit their specialization might not be best fit into WotR campaign - though I might be confused on that). Just wasnt sure best/cheapest way to gain access to other base-set character cards (esepcially the Iconic ones). If any such deck or characters cards are auctioned or offered for sale anywhere.
Thanks for any advice.

You can buy the character add-on decks for the other sets to get the characters in those releases, and you can buy class decks to get those characters. I think it's unlikely that you are going to find the cards for base set characters available anywhere outside the base sets.
But you don't really need the cards. Use something for a token and print out the character sheets using the free download. Everything except the Oracle class is currently there.
BTW Hakon has not been released as a character yet.

My group doesn't even use the character cards, role cards, or token cards in game play, even though I have all of them. We just use the character sheets downloaded from the site (elcoderdude provided the link). I've laminated them for repeated use (using permanent markers to mark feats). And I've created small pawns to replace the tokens. The pawns take up less space; and they stand vertical so that they're easier to see from around the table and are much easier to move around.
