Plz need help with chase rule

i need some help with how to double move in a chase?

Spoiler:

#3-18 He attempts a double move every round,
never attempting to move three squares unless the PCs
are immediately behind him.

i cant find any reference to doing that in the chase rules.
one square equals a move and a standard actions of passing one dc.
three squares need to do full round and pass both dc.
nothing on a double move.
plz help clarify

It basically means that he uses the move+standard to advance one card.
