Sense Motive Items Search

Hey guys,

I'm at work. Any of you know of the top of your head, which items give the most Sense Motive bang for your buck?

I'm looking to build a 40+ Sense Motive if I can. I'm at 14 at lvl. 3. And I'm looking for more. I've got 5,000 that I have yet to spend.

This is for a Monk of Many Styles who has Snake Style. Currently at lvl. 3, my Monk has 14 for his Sense Motive, thus he always has a minimum of 15 AC and 15 touch AC. If I could get the sense motive to 40+ his AC and touch AC will always be 40 + d20. Obviously I won't get it all at lvl. 3, but I'm looking for the best sense motive items or traits possible, so that I can have uber AC.

Don't have access to every item right here at work but right after work I'm traveling a long way to the game, so I won't be able to look at a book until I get there and might not have found every item that is possibly out there.

Any help would be absolutely appreciated.

The Inquisitor's Monocle (Ultimate Equipment) gives you a +5 to Sense Motive, but it costs 6800 GP. Similar items such as the Ring of the Sophisticate or Bracelet of Bargaining cost even more.

However, the cracked Dark Blue Rhomboid ioun stone gives you a +1 on SM and Perception checks, and it's only 400 GP. Or you could pick the cracked Incandescent Blue Sphere that gives a +1 to any one Wis-based skill (200 GP).

TY, I can wait for the monocle. I'll save up and have it by the end of lvl. 3. This will make my lvl. 4 monk have a Sense motive of 21, or AC 22-41, each round. :D

There are also items that boost your overall Wisdom score (such as the basic Headband of Inspired Wisdom +2, for 4000 GP), but that's a lot of money to spend if all you want it for is a +1 to Sense Motive.

Shouldn't this be in Advice?

In any case, unless you're stuck with PFS, I suggest you try to talk your DM into letting you get a version of the Circlet of Persuasion that gives +3 to Wisdom checks instead. It costs 4,500 gp.

I'm in PFS so I have to go with the options presented there. Is there any stone that give more to Sense Motive than just a +1?
