Does anyone ever use this campaign setting anymore? I can't seem to find any GMs using it as a setting in the Recruiting Area.

Also, a psion might be fun to play. Unfortunately, many GMs aren't listing psion as an available class. What campaign settings allow psionics?

Well, I don't know how it works in later editions, but Dark Sun used to have a lot of psionic characters, in fact, I believe it was more or less mandatory for everyone to have wild talents.

Few GM's tend to allow psionics. You will always find some that love them, but many do not. Darksun and Eberron are the only two settings I can think off ff hand that had psionics built into the setting.

Honestly? Try looking for pbps on a different website. Enworld, Giants in the playground, and myth weavers all have pbps that are more likely to be to your tastes.

Since this is the forum owned by Paizo, it naturally attracts fans of Paizo, Paizo, and everything Paizo endorses above all else. For lack of a better word, this is the website with the highest concentration of Paizo 'fanboys' (I hate that word, but I can't think of a better one).

Forgotten Realms is a fairly popular setting ('best-selling' novels and videogame series can do that to a setting), but it's not Paizo, so this is probably the worst gaming website to find FR fans.

Likewise, the psionics is a fairly popular subsystem...but it's not Paizo, so you'll find a lower concentration of people who like it on this website than on other gaming websites.

As for campaign setting which have psionics in them...AFAIK at least in Pathfinder psionics have never been treated differently than other magic in-setting. The rules even say that psionic powers are just another form of spell-like abilities. I don't know of any campaign settings you could easily run in Pathfinder without SLAs, so presumably they all 'allow' psionics.
Basically, whether or not you can play a psion in a given campaign is the GM's preference, not a question of the campaign setting. And, again, you'll probably find a higher concentration of GMs who allow psionics on other forums.

It's actually fairly rare I find a game on this board that doesn't allow Dreamscarred Press' Psionics stuff. It's better designed than most of Paizo's stuff, and a lot (maybe even most) people seem to recognize that.

It's certainly no surprise that most of the games running here are set in Golarion. Having said that, they are a few FR games floating around. Someone recently started Halls of the High King and there's another campaign set in Tethyr that's been running on and off again for a few years.

I'd love to DM a Forgotten Realms campaign here, but honestly don't have time at the moment. Maybe one day ...

I am using Forgotten Realms more specifically the awesome Maztica version!!!

Ah yes, Maztica to the west, Kara-Tur to the east and Zakhara to the south.
Big place, is Aber-Toril.

Which is not named for a second hidden world!

Forgotten realms is evil, wrong, and I am confident it killed my dog.

That said, please check out this thread by my buddy, who likes forgotten realms.
