we should be writing colonization scifi set after the apocalypse
We just had the flop known as "Interstellar". Apocalypse is big now... look at all the Zombie series riding a high rating now.

There are more zombie shows than the Walking Dead? I got bored and wandered off from that one when season 3 didn't seem to be getting any better than season 2 was. I'd love a good zombie show though.
EDIT: Just realized this was in books. Apologies. Still wouldn't mind some good zombie literature, however.

There's Z Nation and at least one other I think. Then there's Revolution and Defiance, for post apocolaypse. And in the movies we have the rather unique "Looking For Someone At The End of the World", with Steve Carell.

I disagree. Interstellar was great. It was also a smash at the box office (187,000 domestic, 672,000 world wide).
Except for the last part near the end, everything in it has either been proven or at least theroized by scientist.
Interstellar was science fiction at its purest.
