We only have to be bothered by feeling grateful for things one day a year. Except the people who had to work all day and even at dinner time on the Day Before Big Sales Day Sales because stock price is more important than people to executives who didn't have to work yesterday.

Thanksgiving for my family has always been about... well family. The food is a part of the equation, turkey is traditional but it's always been primarilly focused for me on going to catch up with family members and close friends as the pace of modern life here in the states doesn't leave many of us free to spend as much time with them as be wish we could/should.

Also, food comas, so yeah... most of the staff can be assumed to be sleeping in today.

It's a good thing it's not thanksgiving here... It is -32°celsius, there is two feet of snow on the ground, and no one is going anywhere!

Not very conducive to visiting OR giving thanks...

And, as I work from home, I can't even call a 'snow day'....
