"We are still working on the update we planned to deploy on Saturday. Until we have completed that process we are not opening the game for the Alpha Stress Test. As we mentioned in the blog last week, if you have Open, Explorer or Early Enrollment please wait for an email from our MailChimp system informing you that your access to the Alpha is available before trying to log in or download the client.

We are continuing to update the community about the progress of this update both on the Paizo.com forums and the Goblinworks.com forums. As we have more information about the update to share, we'll be doing it on those forums.

Thanks for your patience!"

What does this mean for EE on the 25th though ? Seems that EE deadline is out the window.

The deadline might very well be out the window, or we might just get a very short Alpha 9 test before EE.

who knew auction houses would be so painful. But I reccon (correct spelling) that and banking is a pretty big couple of systems to set up. They have to be able to reliably store information for every player in the game (for the bank) and set up a system to manage and reliably handle what will ultimately be thousands of micro-transactions a day.

After the update is running, I'd be very interested in hearing what aspects of the banking/storage/transaction system refused to play well with others.

Edit: Are you sure about that word? My money would be on "reckon" as the correct spelling.

lol .. items will disappear randomly from your inventory and transmogrify into either goblin droppings or +5 Celestial Armor and Vorpal Swords as they see fit. Relogging may or may not convert them back to their original form.

Or +5 Celestial Vorpal goblin droppings! What a collector's item!

lol wearing and flinging dung will become quite the thing in PvP if that be the case.

Absolutely positive and, as a Southerner, beyond contestation. (*tongue-in-cheek*)

October 1 for EE seems to be more probable. There is no rush to get the game into pay to play mode, from the perspective the players.

Taking time and getting it right is ALWAYS better than rushing it and getting it wrong.

Thank you for the update and please do take your time to work out as many kinks as possible.

I am a patient Avatar.

Looking forward to the link to download the client.

Considering I got 3 hours sleep today (I work nights) trying to get my new gaming PC put together. (Had to sacrifice my mobo/cpu/ram when my main/wife's computer died) I am also content to wait.

Plus, they have always said that dates may slip based on actual readiness of the pieces of the game. Which is why we are discussing this today, and not last week, since that was the original thought of when the stress-test was going to happen!

Glad to see the developers communication is strong and I am looking forward to testing out the Game Client once it arrives, slated October 23, 2014, not a long wait at all. Whoot!
