16,000 gp to spend with my wizard. Any ideas?

Advice

Hi! My 12th level wizard has come into a bit of money. After purchasing a Hand of Glory, I have about 16k to spend and I have no idea what to do with it.

My character is playing in CotCT, and we are currently about to go though book 5.

Can you craft the items? Make custom items?

I'd pump it into a homunculus using the rules from the alchemy handbook

Sovereign Court

Assuming you have a cloak of resistance+4 already ,

Metamagic rods come in handy, Dazing, persistent comes to mind.

A weapon with dueling to get +4 initiative.

Pearl of powers for your lower level slots.

Having an idea of what you already possess would also be helpful.

Truth. The first thing it occurs to me to spend 16k on as a wizard is a headband of intellect +4, but you probably already have that.

Shadow Lodge

Ring of seven lovely colors!

Liberty's Edge

Land, build a homestead, "loan" local officials money to curry favor.

Seems like I always neglect to provide all the information needed. >.>

To answer your questions, this character has:

Headband of Vast Int +4
Cloak of Resistance +3
Staff of Conjuration
Belt of Incredible Dex +2
Lesser Rod of Ectoplasmic Metamagic
Lesser Rod of Silent Metamagic
Lesser Rod of Extend Metamagic
Handy Haversack
Hand of Glory
Ring of Protection +2
Ring of Sustenance
Ring of Evasion

This character is a tiefling conjurer. We do not have access to any crafting feats.

If there is anything else I neglected to mention for a more targeted answer, let me know!

Boots of escape (8K) to get out of grapples.

Pink rhomboid ioun stone (8K) for +2 Con. If you get a wayfinder (250 gp) as well you can get either +1 reflex saves on the cheap, or at least a roll on a table with some decent powers.

Blessed book and spells.

Grand Lodge

Plague rat belt. +2 con and rerolls against poison and disease. Upgrade to greater belt if you can. It boosts one of your weakest saves.

I feel you wasted money on a ring of evasion...and without craft feats ring of sustenance seems like a lesser choice. You have resist energy and Stone skin or other forms of DR. If you take any damage from blast spells it should be minimal anyways.

Grand Lodge

Oh and +1 on blessed book. Just should have been bought earlier.

The ring of Evasion was found as part of some monster's loot. Figured I'd make use of it.

Oh. You dont have fighter type who doesnt have evasion through class skill? It is a pricey ring. 25k. Either way since it was found I guess its cool.

My big items on my wizards are:
greater plague rat belt- +2 to dex and con with rerolls on certain fortitude saves.
headband of int +6 (escape artist as my 3rd skill incase grappled)
Blessed book
handy haversack
Robes of the arch magi- typically trading off the armor bonus for something more useful.
Cloak of displacement 20-50% miss chance.
either amulet of nat armor or if using bonded object amulet of spell mastery
efficiency quiver- rods and wands are held here.

Notice all those items are w onderous. I typically take craft wonderous item asap level 3.

Non wonderous items
rod of extend
Lesser rod of persistent spell
lesser rod of Dazing spell
any found staffs- most are too expensive to buy.
Scroll library and a few good wands- dont buy over level 2 wands. Make your own scrolls
Ring of protection
ring of sustenance- only if your a crafter
ring of invisibility

No weapon or armor...waste of gold

Some pearls of power for 1st and 2nd level spells.

If you can, sell off your current belt and pick up either the rat belt (above), mighty constitution +4, or physical perfection +2.
