At the end of the month, I'm going to be moving to New Castle, PA. This is about an hour's drive north of Pittsburgh.
Does anybody know of any PFS games or groups that ever meet there? The other option would be Youngstown, OH, which is about a half-hour's drive away. I haven't been able to locate (via Google) a game store in either town that might serve as the nucleus of that sort of thing. I'm sure I could find things in Pittsburgh, but I'm hoping that there might be something closer where I could attend (or run) an occasional game.

No responses in a month probably means that I won't get any... but I figured I'd bump this just in case! I have now moved, and am in Western PA (not far from Youngstown OH). It's about an hour's drive down to Pittsburgh, so that's going to be a bit too far for me to do for something short of a con; likewise for Cleveland.
Here's hoping that there is some PFS somewhere closer...!

I know this isn't quite what you're looking for, but I GM PFS scenarios and modules online via roll20 and am always happy to take some new players (not to mention that there are tons more games available besides mine). I'm not sure if you've ever tried roll20, but as someone who lives in a separate state than most of my former gaming buddies, I've certainly grown to love it.

Ok, yeah, I've done a lot of online playing and GMing. More of my PFS GM credits come from online than in person at this point, I believe (both PBEM and VTT); in any event, it's close.
Since I've just moved, my home game has moved VTT (using MapTool, but the same principle).
I do enjoy the in-person experience as well, however.

If you are willing to travel as far as Pittsburgh (it's on the north side of Pittsburgh, though!) on the second Saturday of every month there is a group called GASP (Gamers of Southwestern Pennsylvania). They have all kinds of games, including some PFS.
Their website is www.gaspgamer.com
They have a message board where sign-ups and GMing is coordinated. They also run a local con in November, again with a variety of gaming, including some PFS.

Gah, didn't check in on my own topic. (Got very busy teaching in the fall semester.)
How often do games happen at Crystal Dragon? Is there anywhere online where they're organized? It's about a 40 minute drive from my house. The place where GASP has its game days is about an hour drive from my house. Perhaps, sometime, I may make one of them.... I'll have to check in on the GASP forums, see what's going on.

Rknop,
I sent you a private message about CosCon at the Days Inn in Butler, PA (about 40min East of New Castle). You may want to check it out and see if it is something you'd like to do. It is hosted by the Circle of Swords gaming guild. I don't know much about them, but thought you might want to check them out.

Yep! I don't know much about COS specifically, but I am going to go to COSCon (and will be GMing three PFS games there), so I presume I'll meet some of those folks.
Anybody in the broader Pittsburgh area should check the con out. They're using Warhorn for game signups. There are a number of PFS game spots still open.

My wife is from that area, and I'll tell you... good luck... you're pretty far out in the boonies, and I dont' expect you to find a ton of gamers, unfortunately. That being said, I hope you're able to find some good people, and if you are interested in play-by-post, I've found it's a good way to scratch the gaming itch without having to muster up a table of people. :)
