I had a pretty decent drive to the office today. There is this one wretched person with a glittery license plate who drives like a maniac (and coming from me, that's saying something), but I've gotten much better at ignoring people like that.
To be honest, as long as someone doesn't slow me down, I don't care if they get ahead of me or not. And as long as they don't make me catch a light.

Interesting. I was just reading where that K-Pop Demon Hunters movie, which has been streaming on Netflix since June, just made $18 Million at the domestic box office this weekend. This was the limited engagement sing-a-long event. I kept teasing my wife about putting the idea in my daughter's head that she wanted mom to take her.

Although I do at least have a nice training session to put on my timesheet for today. It's technically a lunch and learn, but it goes on for an hour and a half, which is more than we get for lunch.
I don't actually care about what the session is covering. It's electrical stuff. Still, it could be useful to learn.

I've been going out of my way to be quieter and more restrained here at work. According to my supervisor, some people have noticed. A few of them apparently even thought there was something wrong with me.
I mean...yeah there's something wrong with me. Lots of somethings, if I'm honest. Probably has been for years. That's something else altogether though.

Although, I did have a really crappy start to my drive this morning. Came upon some utter jackass who should not have a driver's license. He was going at or just under the speed limit, in the passing lane of a two-lane road, keeping pace with a school bus in the next lane and building up traffic behind him.
Thankfully, I did finally get around him, but still. That kind of idiot is just as bad as the people who go too fast. Most of the people around here are pretty good about going between 5-9 mph over the speed limit. That's typically a pretty solid pace. Couple that with a bit of good timing, and you can miss catching a lot of lights.

Going back to my meeting with my supervisor yesterday. He reiterated a previous point with me about a problem project that is finishing up. He wants to pull me in on the as-built documents.
I have very little prior work on this project. I created a PDF of an existing Stress report. I chimed in on one RFI. That's it. The as-builts, however, supposedly will incorporate a lot of redlines. I have a feeling they want me pulled in so they can get my name on the documents and have me as a fall guy (or one of them) to blame many of the project's woes on.
At least, it wouldn't surprise me if that was their plan.

We had a nice scout meeting last night. The scouts had fun. I got to do at least one Board of Review.
The only downside was I had to deal with the new version of Scoutbook. That's the online system where we keep track of the rosters and all the advancements and rewards the scouts earn. And the new version has....bugs. Lots of bugs. It's...frustrating. Especially considering they've spent a seeming very long time (months) slowly transitioning and rolling this change out.

I only watched one episode of Twilight Zone last night, and that one was during dinner. Later that night, I watched the new Terminal List instead. I loved the first one. This one has started off pretty strong. Seems like it's going to be less a mystery and more a straight up agents dismantling a terrorist network type story.
Either way, I'm two episodes in and enjoying it so far.

If I'm being honest, the reason I put off the cataloging so far is because I was a bit intimidated. Knowing it took me years to bag and board everything, I though the same would be true of this. And yet, it's been about a month, and I think I'm already about half-way through my collection. I've got just shy of 7000 books cataloged.

I also have plans to visit the eye doctor sometime after my dentist visit. I was in there about a month back, and got some new glasses out of the visit. They were supposed to be the same frame as my old ones, but they were most definitely not.
The new frame was much heavier. It kept slipping down my nose. I was almost constantly adjusting them or pushing them back up. So I'm thinking a different material. Maybe even a different style.
