I see that someone actually developed an Aztec Batman animated movie. At first, I thought it was a joke, but then I realized....yep! It is a joke. I really wonder how much this Mexican animation studio paid WB to get the rights to make this. And how drunk/high were the WB execs when they approved it?

I've got all the usual stuff this morning: Grocery, comic book store, etc. Then, around lunchtime, I'll be bringing the boy over to the house of an older scout. This scout is doing some of his Eagle project today, and needed some volunteers to help. So I volunteered the boy.
Not only will this help out a fellow scout, I believe it will also count as the volunteer hours requirement for the boy's next advancement.

I was listening to one of my YouTube shows yesterday, and the dude who runs it was saying he had been asked to go back on the Piers Morgan show (he'd been on their at least twice already) to do a brief segment on Ozzy. He had to decline because his location at the time had really crappy internet connection.
Apparently he missed an opportunity to interact with Gene Simmons, who was another guest.

I saw an article about a new Evil Dead movie starting filming. I think there was another ED movie not too long ago, without Bruce Campbell. I never saw it. I did see the prior one that was a remake of the original. It was okay.
And, of course, I started off watching the show they put out a few years back, before I lost interest in it.
Still, I think the newer, non-Bruce stuff is far less interesting. It takes itself way too seriously. Which doesn't seem to fit the ED style.

I saw there's an online petition to add the old Disney movie Song of the South to the National Film Registry. As I recall, that movie has been banned from reality. Memory-holed by Disney and many people who have certain things in common with Hollywood.
I think I might have actually seen that movie. When I was a kid, of course. So probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 45-50 years ago. So long that I actually don't remember. So I couldn't actually tell you if there was something truly offensive about it, since I don't honestly recall.

I also saw an article about that chick from the Snow White movie who shot her own career in the foot. Apparently she dropped out of some theater production after her understudy proved far more popular (by getting a 5-minute standing ovation).
Sad to see a talented young lady who's ego is sabotaging what had the potential to be a long career. It's the kind of ego Hollywood has always attracted, though. So I expect to see a lot more of this kind of thing, from young and old alike.

Well, I don't know about "happy", but so far, it's been not too shabby. I must have sleep well, because when my alarm went off, it took me a few seconds to realize I actually had to get out of bed because...work. The drive to the office was pretty decent. Not perfect, but decent. And, so far, my stomach hasn't been too bad.

The day is young, however. And I am in the office. I'm getting to one of those points where I'm not sure I trust management anymore. We've been a long time without any new projects. And then they're trying to hire a second mechanical engineer, with no new projects coming in.
I confess, it gets me nervous. Especially knowing this company went through bankruptcy not too long ago. In fact, they were just coming out of it when I hired on. And a lot of those same management people are still here....

The beer can chicken I smoked for dinner yesterday came out well. It was a large chicken as well. Close to 6 lbs. So we've got plenty left over. I ate a thigh, wing, and leg for dinner last night. My daughter had a bit of one chicken breast. My wife had more of that same breast. I was able to make a bit for my lunch from THAT SAME breast. And there was still a bit of it left over.
