Henchman in the Road Through Xin-Shalast

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

In the Road through Xin-Shalast scenario, the only henchman that are listed are the "Wardens of Runes." Unfortunately, there are only 6 of them, and there are 8 locations on the 6-player version of the scenario. Since the Villain is off to the side according to the rule card, that leaves us 2 short of Henchman for the scenario. What are we supposed to do?

I have 8 from my pack...

Yeah, you should have 8 Wardens of Runes. The only one you get 6 of are the Leng Spiders, you only have max 6 locations in that scenario so no biggie. If you're missing 2 of them completely, contact Paizo. I'm betting you put them into the wrong section of the box, probably Monster. Lord knows I've done that with a couple of them.

It'd be funny to randomly encounter a henchman by mistake in a game... What the hell is a Leng Spider doing in Brigandoom! ?

Kicking your ass, most likely.

May I go with the obvious route and suggest proxies if you actually are missing cards?

Wow, thanks for all the really fast responses! Good to know it was just a misfiling or missing card issue, and not that there was something wrong with the scenario itself. We're gonna do a thorough box-check tomorrow, and if they're not there, we'll contact customer service and proxy in bandits or goblins or something in the meantime.

That's happened to me lots of times. It's not usually an issue, if it's not the right henchman for the scenario, just swap it out for a monster.
