Hola!
As a member of The Seventh Veil and de-facto organizer of TSV's Geographical Society (SGS for short) I have a couple questions about the in-game (Golarion) starting date for EE and the passage of time in-game.
True to TSV's goal of being a storehouse of knowledge, the SGS is planning on making a lot of maps. We're planning on keeping up with the shifting political boundaries, making road maps between settlements for the everyday player (including scenic overlooks - there will be scenic overlooks, right??) and lots of other maps. We plan to start now by documenting the land rushes.
We can do all that - but what we really need is some feedback from the Devs about the in-game time system as well as the proposed starting date (in-game, Golarion-time) for EE. I believe that EE is when characters no longer get wiped. Pre-EE time will be one real day equal to one Golarion day.
Btw we're thinking of the background to the land rush as being similar to the Oklahoma Land Rushes sanctioned by...? Numeria? Church of Iomedae? Hellspawn Knights? All of the above? We're still working on that point - but more importantly, we want to collect these data as they come in. Its much less work to do it now than to data-mine later.
Thanks in advance!

The reason made the latest revision to the Unofficial PFO Map was to prepare for its evolution into an Unofficial PFO Atlas. It would have a lot of what you propose.
We definitely should talk, but not Tuesdays: Foyle's War and NCI night with the wife. Or Wednesdays: PFO TT night.

Personally, I wouldn't suggest that you get too hung up on whether the game's day/night cycle maps to some kind of simulation for increased speed of passing in-game time. That is, the faster cycle is for a lot of reasons, including letting most people see a mix of lighting during their regular play sessions, keeping "daily" effects happening frequently enough to be fun, etc. I don't think we mean to have that translate formally into the date system.
If you want to keep Golarion flavor, it's probably easiest to add 2700 to the real world date and convert months and days to the Golarion standard. That is, today is effectively 13 Desnus, 4714 AR.

Yeah, I would say that time is going to be not well anchored in continuity. Over the long term we'd like to have seasons and we'd like to have seasonal events that map to things that happen in the Northern Hemisphere on Earth but there will be more days in a Golarion year than there are in an Earth year. Trying to make the physics make sense won't work in the long run. So we're just not going to try.

It looks like, due to gameplay reasons, day/night cycles are going to be divorced and unimportant to the in-game date to record when events happen.
The game date will march on in time with Earth date and be pretty easy to track as it progresses. (Then Paizo will know what dates to put into their lore about the events and status of River Kingdoms).

l'm tied up Mondays with Kingmaker tabletop and most fridays. But I can certainly find time in between to chat.
@ Ryan This is the answer I assumed we'd be getting. Btw is there any in-game rationale for the land Rush? If not, I will assume its gist the local powers making it an incentive to settle there (presumably to hasten the onset of civilization).

We're just finishing "Blood for Blood".
How are things in the future? Do they have hovercars yet?
Speaking of, I have a couple maps I made for that AP up.
Along with the maps I made for PFO. These are just done in Painter X3 with layers overlaying them. Very quick and dirty just to give the general gist.
