Hey, everyone, I have a new situation and I just want to be sure I am going to handle it correctly.
I am going to be running Siege of the Diamond City at Origins, and I am prepping Tiers 1-2 and 3-4 (as a backup.) When I run this (either at Tier 1-2 or 3-4), can I apply the credit to an existing character of a higher level (say, level 6 or level 7?) That character would fall within the range of the scenario, just not the table I am running.
I think the answer is "yes," because the Guide says, "The subtier for which a GM's character receives credit depends on the character's level." Since my character would be level 6 (potentially 7 by that time), that would mean either subtier 5-6 (if my character is 6th level), or 7-8 (if my character makes it to 7th level by that point.)
I guess, at the end, what I am asking is - it doesn't matter at what Tier I *run* the scenario, just that my character falls within the Tier of the scenario itself (which, in this case, it would.)
Am I reading that correctly?
Thanks, all.

Yes, you are reading that correctly. Though it's a Special, the Chronicle works just like any other scenario.
Thanks, David! This is the first special I have run. I was sure it was the same, but I've only ever applied chronicles to my characters that were of the level that I actually ran - it just worked out that I had characters that needed those tiers, so it wasn't a problem.
Thanks again!
