Concerning Owl's Wisdom


Rules Questions


If an 5th level Inquisitor has this spell cast on him prior to combat will the +2 bonus from his Wisdom Modifier increase effect all of the following:

A +2 to Inititive
A +2 to Monster Lore Checks (and other Wisdom Skills)
A +2 to the Save DC vs. his spells
An extra two uses per day (or combat) of his Domain Power
An extra two rounds of Bane

Am I misssing any? Thanks.

It increases everything.


I would look more into what benefits from temporary ability score bonuses vs permanent bonuses.

+2 to will save

and those extra uses and extra rounds of bane can not be used "first", when the spell ends, if you have uses/rounds left, you will lose 2 from each. (and in my games: if they drop "below" 0, you have over extended yourself and get a condition, but that is not by the rules.)

That may be the best FAQ ruling I have ever seen, and they aren't usually of poor quality.

I do not see it mentioned there in that FAQ, but I could have sworn I read one of developers say that temporary increases did not apply to per/day abilities, such as bonus spells and per-day class abilities.

That was the case before the FAQ.
