Pre-gens and Season 5 Faction missions

Apologies if this has been answered somewhere.

If a player does a mission, say 5-02 as a pre-gen. Can they get credit for their non-Grand Lodge faction (and the associated boons (if any))?

To receive a faction-specific boon, you must play a character of that faction.

You may not play a pregen, perform the actions to qualify for an Andoran boon, then assign the Chronicle to an Andoran character as the character that performs the actions must be of the faction that is giving the boon out.

If you play a pregen, then that pregen is a member of the Grand Lodge.

If you're playing a scenario that has a boon for Grand Lodge members and you succeed at it, and that Chronicle gets assigned to a Grand Lodge character then you might be able to keep the boon, but that creates an inequality in the factions that benefits Grand Lodge characters. On the other hand, that might be a nifty benefit to Grand Lodge characters. I doubt that Mike will make this exception however. For now, I would operate under the assumption that you don't get faction boons while playing a pregen.

Thanks for at least one response. Given that certain characters need certain missions for their faction, it seems unfair to prevent people who play pre-gens from being able to neither secure the boon for their assigned character, nor play the mission again with an appropriate character.

I have a game where I'm running a bunch players new to PFS in a Tier 3-7 mission and it doesn't make sense to screw them over simply because the pre-gens have to be Grand Lodge.

What does makes sense is that if you succeed at securing any boon, then that boon will apply if you apply the chronicle to a character with the appropriate faction. After all, the PP will be added to the character's faction, not Grand Lodge.

If you have a bunch of new players (as in 3+), you shouldn't be running them through a 3-7 tiered scenario. It should be a game that allows level 1 players so that they can play their newly created PCs.

I ran a muster, and these are the majority of players that signed up. I'm not going to switch out the game from under the non-Pre-gen players.
