Folks, everyone here on the Paizo minis boards KNOWS I love a good deal, and that I'm a total cheapskate when it comes to minis. You also know that I'm a huge fan of the discontinued Rackham line and praise them whenever I can.
The Wrath of Kings kickstarter has 11 days to go, and with the additions of the stretch goals on each starter pack, minis for some of these sets are creeping down to about $1 per mini. And since this team is made up of much of the old Rackham/Confrontaion/Cadwallon crew, they are pumping out some of the best, most intriguing sculpts in the miniature world right now. They are unassembled plastic with polystyrene weapons components, so no floppy spears and swords!
For those of you who like your minis high-quality, beautiful, and cheap, check. it. out.
I don't know if it is Kickstarter fatigue or the glut of overfeasting we're all on since the Bones kickstarter, but the quality of the minis in the project are AMAZING, and the price-per-figure just keeps creeping down, with lots of options to just buy the stuff you want. Surprised to not see more oo-ing and aah-ing here. Go drool, at least!
While the minis in question are obviously of top quality workmanship I find myself uninspired by the sculpts themselves. Too many weirdo creatures for any fantasy or even sci-fi game I'd run. Passing on this one but they are going to do just fine methinks - over $447K on a $50K goal! Thanks for the link btw!
Yeah, I get that. And I'd say I mostly agree given that my buy-in is mostly limited to the Nasier faction minis and some of those mercenaries. Luckily, the pledges are flexible enough to work around the stuff that won't work for the flavor of my game. Love those Ashmen figs!
