Ambush Interactions

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

The Ambush card instructs you to reveal from the top of the location deck until you hit a monster.

Some other cards that have similar functions (can't think of the name off the top of my head - don't have my cards with me) will instruct you to look for a monster *other than a villain or henchman*.

Since Ambush does not contain the "other than a villain or henchman", does that mean that if the villain or henchman has the Type:Monster tag, then it is a valid target for Ambush?

I wonder that myself after an Ambush encounter this weekend.

Yes, a villain or henchman with "Type: Monster" on the card count as monsters and are valid targets for the Ambush.

If you have turned over many cards before finding and defeating a monster, what happens to the cards you turned over? Do they get shuffled back in the deck, do you automatically try to acquire them, or are they out of the came?

Per the text on Ambush, you shuffle the other revealed cards back into the location deck

What happens to Ambush afterwards? I couldnt pass the check to defeat check, so encountered the next monster..Wasn't sure what to do with Ambush after defeating the monster. Does it get shuffled back into the location deck? Does the Monster get shuffled back in?

The FAQ says to add "Banish this card." at the end if the card, so that it is banished at the end of its play.
