Seelah suggested starting deck

I have noticed that in the suggested decks in the rule book it lists 2x half-plate. Upon drawing these cards from the box I noticed that they where elite, and you are only supposed to use basic cards when first creating a deck.
My question is, should I still use these cards or draw different armour with the basic trait instead

It was said in another by either Mike or Vic that you can use the Half-plate.
