Another thread in the PFS Discussion forum, which can be found here, regarding ownership and character validity due to lack thereof.
This raised the issue in my mind (as a primarily PbP Player) as to how to verify the ownership given current electronic constraint, as best summarized by Mark Moreland:
The point of owning a rule's source and bringing it to the game is to the GM can reference, and see the rule in its original, official format in order to make fair adjudications at the table. A screenshot of your downloads page doesn't address that issue. At the same time, we don't allow you to distribute digital copies of our products, so this presents a corner case in the rules that we'll have to discuss and come to a consensus on. Due to other priorities in the lead-up to Gen Con, this may be several weeks off at the earliest.
I am not seeking an answer now, as Mark Moreland, Mike Brock , and Joseph Caubo are probably all busier than bees at the moment. It is an issue I would like to see resolved, however; especially given the new online pathfinder push.
Feel free to chime in. In the mean time, I will just lollygag and wait and ask other online PbP players for their input. (Seriously, no rush, completely sarcasm free).

This has been asked previously HERE; my answer was as follows:
PDF: player takes screenshot of relevant page (or part of page), saves as JPEG and e-mails to GM. Or just copies and pastes the text straight into an e-mail and sends to the GM.
Print: player takes photo of relevant page, or scans it, then e-mails the scan/photo as a JPEG to the GM.
Either of these options are preferable to sending the whole book as a PDF, as the amount being sent would qualify as fair use (I think - IANAL).
If the GM needs the info because he doesn't have the books with the relevant rules - that's a good reason to share the data.
If the GM has the rules source to hand but believes that the player doesn't have the correct rules (constant rules errors, etc.) and asks the player to verify his rules source - that's an acceptable reason to share the text.
If the GM already owns all of the rule books, but asks every player he encounters to send him all the additional resources they might use as a matter of course - that's a bad reason.

I don't think the bolded bit is legal. Elsewise, you'd be able to just have a word document or something to use as a reference. I believe this is frowned upon, so it would need to be a direct image or copy of the PDF or book for it to be viable.

It should be stressed that it has been stated repeatedly that GMs are not intended to be the resource police. Only ask for proof of purchase of an additional resource if you think the player doesn't know what they're talkiing about or if you don't have quick access to it.
I don't want to be a resource police. I just want to proactively answer any question so that in the event the GM has a question about one of my items (Seeker of Secrets, Field Guide, Inner Sea World Guide, etc. are not on PRD), they don't have to hold up the entire PbP game until I am back online to answer.
