I am relatively new to PFS and have a question about the First Step series of modules. I understand that 2 of the factions are being retired this season. Also, while searching for an answer on the message boards I came upon a post that said parts 2 and 3 would be retired soon. Are there plans for an updated introductory modules or series of modules?
I am looking to GM via Fantasy Grounds and do not want to put forth the effort to build the scenarios only to have them retired or changed before I can run them.

My understanding is that part 1 will be retired after it is replaced; that said, I don't know when it will be replaced.
Starting with First Steps is not that critical, especially now that only a few of the factions are being introduced. If the prep time is a concern, I'd recommend starting elsewhere.

You are correct. Parts 2 and 3 will be retired come August 14th. A new intro scenario(s) will be developed afterwards. No firm ETA is currently available (it will probably not be in the rest of 2013)
Unless the schedule shifts, a new introductory scenario will be released before the end of the year.
