Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 **** Venture-Captain, California—San Francisco Bay Area North & East

In the light of recent bovine threads, I wanted opinions on this before I run it (tonight, sorry about short notice).

One of the characters I'll have tonight has a large wolf as his animal companion. It's got the narrow frame feat, so yay, but I want to check on:

Spoiler:
the boat ride. Text says "It can hold up to eight Medium creatures and has oarlocks for four rowers. The PCs, all their equipment, and Agosa Agion can easily fit in the craft."

Most of the time, things say that a large creature counts as two mediums, but it doesn't list it here. Can I allow it to ride along and take up two slots?

Liberty's Edge 4/5

When I ran it for 6 players, there was a large ape, and large rino. just made the boat bigger cause felt had to allow them to get there AC's in game

There's a spell, found in Knights of the Inner Sea, called Carry Companion. For the cost of a second level scroll, they can "get their ACs in the game." Otherwise, it better either fit on the boat or know how to swim.

lol. was my mount. I actually bought a wand of that spell

The Exchange 3/5

Question about the Haunt:

"When this haunt is triggered... all
humanoid creatures in the hallway are
targeted by a deep slumber spell with no
HD limit (save DC 14).

Normally Deep Slumber works on all creatures, not just Humanoids. However, the scenario states that the rats aren't subject to its affects. So by RAW then are Native Outsiders (Aasimars and Tieflings) immune to this haunt's effects, since they are not, in fact, humanoids?

Shadow Lodge 4/5

Yes, you are expected to run older scenarios as written, mistakes included. Aasimar and Tieflings are immune to this haunt, and normal Aasimar actually have another really nice advantage later in that same area.

The Exchange 3/5

Our one Aasimar that's likely to play tonight traded that away.
There's a 50-50 chance they'll have a Cleric with them though, so...

1/5

if your playing more then the first act, you may want to have a way to store the other pets... lets just say that some part are not viable for a large animal companion.

4/5 ****

On an amusing note, my Ape animal companion was killed in all 3 parts of this.
