The description says, "Pregenerated characters characters available, Pathfinder Society characters welcome."
I take that as meaning they will have pregenerated characters ready for you, but if you happen to have a 6th level PFS character you're welcome to play that instead. Might also accept a character built according to PFS rules, with the standard wealth for a 6th level character (from page 399 of the Core Rulebook).

I would think that it would mean characters built according to the PFS rules, not actual PFS characters.
I don't believe this is going to be a PFS game, since, to my knowledge, it's not a PFS-legal scenario. As such, PFS characters can't play in it. (Or, they can, but it can't be "canon", if you know what I mean. That is you could take the character and use it as the character for this game, but as far as using that character again, the events of this scenario would "never have happened".)
Building according to PFS rules is a fine way to go. The remaining question is, though, how much money? I'd love to build my own character, just because I like doing it, but I'll be happy to play a pregen if I'm wrong and it really is supposed to be an actual PFS character. (I only have level 1, 2, and 3 PFS characters at the moment, although one is on the cusp of level 4.)

This is what I've seen previously (in addition to "create according to PFS rules"). This one specifically says PFS characters welcome - so they may want a more organic character that you're familiar with.
