I'm not, Bill, but I do want to wish your players luck (they'll need it!). I'm tempted to post a few tips for your poor victims to help them survive, but only with your permission...

Go for it

Sovereign Court

I'm in ... wasn't sure about the system ... until I ordered the print/pdf bundle and had a flashback to the late 70s ... :)

EDIT: so I am assuming the PCs will be provided, or should we create and bring with (and if so, what level are we looking at?)

Five helpful tips:

1. Pick your battles. You see that lead-lined door carved with Runes of Doom? Maybe you should just move on by and leave it alone. Know when to run.

2. There is no Perception or Search in S&W. If you want to find the trap or the secret door, you'll need to tell the game master EXACTLY what you are doing to find hidden things. Are you rapping on the surface? Feeling for crevices? A feather could tell you if there's a hidden breeze, and soot could be rubbed on a surface to find hidden cracks.

3. Creativity is often rewarded. There are no hard and fast rules for using the environment to your advantage, so if something sounds like a realistic option, suggest it or give it a try.

4. Don't know what level you are playing, but if it's 1st level, expect to rest often. Low-level characters have almost no spells or hit points. You may need to even rest 2-3 days between encounters.

5. Especially at low level, if you can bring extra gear. Ask to buy an 11-foot pole, just so you can foil the devious machinations of a GM who expects you to have a 10-foot pole. In fact, you might just make that a 12-foot pole instead. Also remember things like rope, a grappling hook, iron spikes (to spike shut doors), fishing line and fishhooks, etc. Think of creative ways to use mundane equipment.

There are pregens, whether or not Bill uses them is another matter. It could be roll 3D6 in order and start at level 1!
