Pathfinder Card Game available as both Lottery and Open events?

Greetings! I noticed that demos of the new Pathfinder Adventure Card Game are available in both the Lottery Events section and the Open Events section. Is there a difference between them? Are the Lottery Events demos for this game more "special?" :)
