Another great Gobbocast! Thanks Areks and Krow. Very entertaining. Blaeringr, you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders for the business of "intelligent evil" and assassination. I think that your company (whoever they are =P) will be quite successful. I really like the anti-griefing and the anti-bounty-griefing tact also. That is why I suggested the wergild idea. For an option to end the "endless bounty" syndrome.
All-in-all, a very enjoyable listen. :)

Excellent PODcast, It has prompted me to head over to Tony's Bread Shop and see what I might contribute there.
Interestingly, we have the same views on not having our own settlement, allowing for a bit more freedom for our bandits.
It also prompted me to consider opening a section on our own forums for our victims of banditry feed back. In this section they will be able to describe their experience, like a testimonial, and give us feedback as to how the event impacted their gaming experience.

It was a delight to talk with the guys at Gobocast.
And obviously I'm even more delighted with the possibilities in the game that have come out since this interview was recorded.
@Nihimon when spelling it out in Futhark I use either the hard g rune or the ng rune. So ya, either way no j sound. Not that I spell a lot in futhark, but I've been using Blaeringr as a pen name for when I put my drawings/paintings on the internet, and i sign my stuff in runes.
And I can't wait to hear how the ad turned out.

@Blaeringr,
It was a pleasure, Sir; it was an educational journey for myself, and I'm sure for many who listened. The message is easily lost in the written word of the forums, and while subtle movements in a face to face conversation are lost on a voice interview, I think this style of interview lended itself well to your persona.
Thank you again, Blaeringr, and I hope we can entice you into more interviews in the future. For all curious to Blaeringr's last statement, Gobbocast is working on a Radio Edition of the famous 'Tony's Totally Legitimate Breadmaking Business,' and we hope to release that to community (with Blaeringr's consent) just as soon as it's ready.

I've talked before about my odd fascination with Blaeringr. I expect I'll listen to this podcast quite a few times.
I was especially struck by Blaeringr's statement that he didn't want them to be seen as a cancer that needed to be rooted out. I felt it was very sincere, and it may have finally pushed me over the edge into full on fan-of-Blaeringr mode.
Don't be surprised if I start posting quotes from the podcast over the next week or so.

That is how I felt. He made it sound like some evil guys won't be so bad to have around. They will actually be fun to interact with. Bluddwolf is kind of that way also. He is just more....in your face I guess. I do respect him and his "bad" guy too though.
PFO shaping up to be a fun place to spend your free time. =D

There will be as many 'good' guys as there will be 'bad' guys. Me, I might just go where the cash takes me and live the mercenary life. Be a sell-sword for caravan details and what not. So I'll end up on either side of the fence.
