This is the start of a campaign journal for Reign of Winter.
Please feel free to comment, but use spoiler tags when discussing things my players would not have seen yet.
About the group:
We are playing at our FLGS, Worlds Collide in Oshawa, Ontario.
We usually play on Thursday nights for about 3 hours, 2 weeks on then 2 weeks off.
The players are all younger adults, with an ancient GM who has been running RPGs for 33 years.
Rules:
We are running 20 Point Buy characters, with all of the current hardcover rulebooks being fair game except for the ARG.
We are using Hero Points with the following modifications:
- Maximum of 5 Hero Points
- you may also use a Hero Point to confirm a crit before rolling for confirmation, in addition to the uses is the APG
- you gain a Hero Point whenever you level, in addition to the methods in the APG
Characters stay with the party when a player cannot make it, and earn normal xp. However, they cannot earn any Hero Points.

The starting complement of adventurers consists of

- Felios, Aasimar Bard, played by Mark
- Orvin, Human Fighter (Two-Handed Fighter), played by Aaron
- Skitt Small, Varisian Inquisitor of Calistria, played by Cyril
