52 Years of Manned Spaceflight.

Today, 52 years ago, Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space. Twenty years later, Columbia lifted off the pad, and became the first shuttle into space. In the time between and since, we've seen some amazing advances in science and technology. SpaceX has become the first private company to make, not one, but three successful flights to the ISS and back. The shuttles may not fly anymore. The US government may be holding the axe over NASA's funding, but we can still remember. We can still dream. We can still celebrate the great things we have done.
