So after reading through this a while i have a question about boons. maybe im confused as to how to apply them to a character.
Does only a character who gets the boon have a chance to use it? or can we pick the boon for another character?
I ask more specifically because I have the boon to allow me to use an axe beak on a character it does nothing for.

Is a photocopied boon (with gm signature ) be legal? I traded for a boon but received on that is photocopied and half the pathfinder logo and scenerio is missing.
Thank you and merry Christmas.
You can't trade boons received from scenarios (such as 9-201: All the Doors are Trapped). Those are tied to the character who received them. Trading for boons received at a convention that can be applied to any character (such as a race boon) is fine, but it needs to have the title on it.

That particular boon can only be used by the character who received it. (I know, I have two characters who have the boon but can't use it.) In later seasons there have been several scenarios whose chronicles contained broader language:
As long as one of your characters possesses this boon the following may be used by any of your characters:

yes a boon can sometimes be a copy ( such as gen con boons )
some cons they copy them then sign them separate..just make sure you fill out boon and assign it to your character.

            That convention boon exists.
You may not have been the one to impress a prospective familiar or sentient relic, but your fellow agent who did can introduce you to make the most of the strange allies befriended during an adventure.
As a player, choose one boon earned by one of your characters, and transfer it to another one of your characters. The recipient's level must be high enough that he could qualify to have played the adventure; he still qualifies if his level is above the adventure's level range. Once the boon is transferred, the original recipient is treated as though she no longer possessed the boon. You can only transfer a boon in this way if it opens up access to a new type of familiar, animal companion, or similar creature associated with a class feature. Record the boon's name, Chronicle sheet name, and the creature type below.
Alternatively, you can transfer access to a unique intelligent item, which the recipient can now purchase. This follows the same restrictions as if you were transferring access to a new familiar type. If the original character had already purchased the intelligent item, she must sell it before the recipient can purchase it.
