Question about Early Enrollment

Is it too late to donate so that I could get in Early Enrollment for PFO? I didn't realize this game was being made until just last week...

Keep checking Goblinworks.com for more informaiton.

There is (what I understand to be) a period called "Fulfillment" where those of us (me included) who missed the Kickstarter and the bonuses that went with those contributions may be available, but at either a higher cost or reduced bonus.

Ryna stated these "extras" would be removed over time, so keep an eye out. Not sure when the Fulfillment period will begin, but expect it to be after all the KS rewards have been completed.

(Since we missed out on the KS, we shouldn't get the same goodies, as the earlier guys ponied up first and took the risk. I'll still get some "stuff" I hope, so I'll be watching too.)

Ah, alright.

Thanks for the information! :) I'll definitely be on the lookout. I don't really care so much about all the other extra stuff, I just want to get in the action as early as possible so I can provide feedback, etc.

I'm exactly with Xaeris...just want in on it. I emailed them about this a few days after the KS ended (when I found out about it, obviously) and they said to keep checking Goblinworks.com but that's not really all that workable.

I wonder if that would qualify as this notification setting:
"Paizo may send me marketing information about Paizo products, services or events"

All the people who participated in the kickstarter will be take care of first. GW has not determined if/what they want to offer to people who did not participate.

Late this month we will probably see the fulfillment tool. Probably a month later we will know if other options will be available.

EE will be over a year long, so you will likely be able to participate if you desire. So far the first month has been filled by the KS supporters. There are a ton of slots left to fill.

If this follows the 2nd kickstarter, on a Tuesday the goblin squad will be notified, then on Wednesday there will be a blog post.

So if you want to be one of the first to use whatever system GW may come up with, check the forums at least every Tuesday, and read the new blog every wednesday.

I would expect the 'bonuses' to be much like the start of the kickstarter, don't expect all the extra incentives like destinies twin, and the 4th month of subscription time, or daily deal items.

I wouldn't count on paizo marketing to get you the information.

I am combining a couple of separate posts from Ryan here...

"Our current plan is that we'll begin Early Enrollment in Q3 of 2014, and Open Enrollment in Q1 of 2016."

and

"You will be able to have more than one character training on an account. You will pay for all the training you get. So you will be able to pay 2x the monthly subscription cost and have 2 characters training in parallel. Or you can get parallel training using training time purchased direct from the cash store, or acquired on the in-game market for Coin. There is no practical limit to how many characters you'll be able to train in parallel.

(This is my objective. Technical limitations beyond my control might affect this but at this time I see none.)

You will be able to log in more than one character on the same account. So you can run the client twice, or run the client on two computers logged into the same account. (This is commonly called "multiboxing").

(Ditto to previous disclaimer).

You MAY NOT be able to log in your Destiny's Twin character at the same time you are logged in to another character on that account. I haven't thought through all the complexities yet. It is likely that you will have to specify, in a way that cannot be changed, which characters are Twins. This twinning effect may have other repercussions TBD, such as the inability to sell either Twin to another player separately if and when we enable character or account transfers.

You MAY be able to buy an account with Destiny's Twin when we open the Fulfillment Tool. This is envisioned as a way to allow people who missed the Kickstarter to get some (but not all) of the benefits we offered to Kickstarters directly. It is a virtual certainty that at some point we will start removing options from the Fulfillment tool, and by the time we get to Early Enrollment, many benefits, almost certainly including Destiny's Twin, will be unavailable.

Frankly, my opinion is that if you think Destiny's Twin is a paramount advantage that the game cannot be satisfactory without, and you don't have Destiny's Twin, then our game costs $30/mo instead of $15/mo for you to play, and that doesn't bother me.

I fully expect that many (most?) players will have multiple characters training, which implies multiple monthly training costs. The advantages to multiple characters is worth the cost. I think that many players will have multiple accounts, for the purpose of social engineering, because being able to represent yourself as two or more different humans to different social graphs has a huge value. And I expect that some people will have the hardware resources to run many of these characters simultaneously, giving them a hydra-headed interface to the game world.

If that bothers you, all I can say is that it happens in every other MMO, approved or not, and trying to stop it is impossible, like trying to stop RMT and Gold Farming. I'd rather spend my time maximizing the play value for everyone than trying to police behaviors that cannot be stopped.

RyanD"

(These are just cut and pasted. Keep an eye out on Goblinworks.com and these forums. I expect there to be some fanfare and hope to get in EE as early as possible myself...)

Yeah, everything is up in the air at the moment. We dont know what they will offer us "so sorry to late guys" lol.

I will keep my eyes open for the next options available.

If they do destiny's twin like done for the KS options I would take it, but if its pay for both then Id just do 2 accounts. (will probably do 2 accounts either way)

I would happily pay for a Crowdforge Alpha if they offered it to me.

My understanding is that "Fulfillment" is the finalization of the KS rewards. At that time people who pledged to the KS will also be able to increase their pledges for increased rewards I'm pretty sure. The Reaper miniature KS went this way. There's a good chance this will include much of what was offered during the KS. After that there has been some talk of letting more in on things. Whether this will be another KS or just a sales program is not clear. They will probably decide based on the responses to the KS and based on where they are and where they want to go at the time. Since I think they are projecting the KS fulfillment system to go operational around the middle of this month I wouldn't look for any details until mid April. Scheduling it right after tax day when most collect refunds would have some merit from a business point of view.

I'm almost positive there won't be another KS. The additional chances to get into EE that they talked about will come from GW, or more likely handled through Paizo as they are set up already to handle Internet transactions.

IF they did another KS I'm not sure what the incentive would be, 3 years development is as fast as it should go. And they could just do what RSI is doing and sell through their own services to the same effect, minus KS fees.
