That cleric is cute.
I watched the gameplay video that showed up next to this too. The in-game graphics aren't nearly as nice as the promo video, but they're still good. It sounds like they tossed out the traditional D&D classes for four very video-gamey type character concepts. I heard something about the Guardian Fighter and the Trickster Rogue and two others which, it appears, gain unique powers by doing what their class was intended to do, so I guess the Guardian Fighter gets nothing for trying shoving his square peg into the Trickster Rogue's square hole.
I'm not sure that came out right.

You know this is for a video game, right? Thus the "closed beta" mention in the description.
I had a chance to play through a demo at PAX Prime this past fall. Lots of emphasis on movement (kind of novel for an MMORPG-style game) and overall the gameplay was solid. They're rolling into beta right now.
So, no, it's not a joke. The new Neverwinter game has been on the radar for a good two years now.
