Swarm

Rules Questions

can you summon a swarm to fight a swarm?

Nothing says "no" from what I can recall. They'd just sit there and auto-damage each-other until one fell.

Grand Lodge

A summoned swarm attacks all creatures in its area, or if there are none, pursues the nearest creature it can sense. A swarm is composed of creatures, so the summoned swarm will attack it.

Because its swarm attack is area-based, it does +50% damage. Because it's not weapon damage, it affects any corporeal swarm.

Ok so, if a flying swarm of nasties is coming and I cast gust of wind, what happens? It's says it blows back tiny creatures 2d6x10 feet and causes damage, so can I make a flying swarm go splat?

Liberty's Edge

I should think the Gust of Wind spell would affect a swarm of tiny creatures, blowing the entire swarm back 2d6*10 feet and inflicting 2d6*1.5 damage. I would have the swarm roll a Fly check to avoid the movement and damage.

yea but for the lil critters thats one heck of a fly check to make. Seems like gust of wind is semi useful for swarm management, never even thought of it before, I dont believe I have ever used the spell.
