Sczarni 4/5

I noticed there's a minor artifact in it that acts as a basically recharging +1 tome...

What happens to a PFS that reads this in game?

Sczarni 4/5

I'm going to post this in a different forum that's more active, feel free to ignore or delete it.

Any chance of a page reference?

sorry Lady's light, the second AP in the shattered star.

Basically the question boils down to if a player reads the tome, do they get +1 int forever? or just for the mod? IE condition gained +1 int inherent bonus

I think that the section on spells and effects ending at the end of a scenario on page 26 of the PFS Guide applies. I believe that the +1 would apply for the rest of the 'module', then expire.

problem with that is that it isn't a

duration that heal damage or remove harmful
conditions remain in effect at the end of the scenario.

a inherent bonus isn't a spell or effect that heals damage or removes harmful conditions. Also it's an item that's not a spell, so you don't even read the spell section in regards to this =/

Lastly you can have tomes of +1, +2 etc... and if you read them, they are permanent bonuses at that point.

Shadow Lodge 4/5

If it's not on the Chronicle sheet, as a boon or as treasure, it didn't happen. You'd have the bonus for the duration of the sanctioned content, but that's it.

Sczarni 4/5

That's what I was trying to figure out, because you can be diseased from one module to the next... so was curious.

Shadow Lodge 4/5

I get that. It just seems to me that anytime something happens to you that's good, it ends at the end of the scenario/module. If something is bad, it tends to stick around until removed. They've been fairly consistent with that, to the point that the recent list of spells that carry over from one scenario to the next was a welcome surprise.

I would love to be told by Mark or Mike that I'm wrong about this...

You're not. As you advised above, if it's not on the Chronicle sheet, as a boon or as treasure, it doesn't persist after the adventure. Your character has the bonus for the duration of the sanctioned adventure.

Sczarni 4/5

Good to know! I was going to assume as much, but honestly just didn't know when a player pointed out that it didn't fall neatly into the descriptions, it seemed based on the trends with chronicles to be that way, but he was insisting it was just like the conditions gained.
