I've seen some posts about this from a while back and believe it is time again to bring this into light. There are many gamers here on the east coast who would love to go to a large convention like Paizocon, but it just isn't in their budge to afford plane tickets to seattle. I do believe that Paizo can gain alot from opening a new convention somewhere here in the east. Atlanta or somewhere close would be a central hub here in the east and alot cheaper for people. I hope this opens discussion and new possibilities for everyone, including people in charge at Paizo.

Sorry—while we understand the desire, it's just not going to happen anytime soon. PaizoCon is not actually all that large—it's quite an intimate little show, and it is what it is because it's our local show. Trying to replicate it outside of driving distance would cost far, far more than it makes.
For those who can't make it all the way to Seattle, I highly recommend Gen Con in Indy.

Atlanta also has DragonCon (Aug 30 - Sept 2), SCARAB was this last weekend in Columbia SC (I think they are shooting for 200 sessions next year ... there were 160 from Fri-Mon this year), CarolinaCon in Charlotte NC (March 15-17), Con Nooga in Chattanooga TN (coming up in March 1-3), MACE West in Hickory NC (April 5-7), MACE in Charlotte NC (Nov 15-17) and numerous others scattered along the East Coast (I only listed the ones in my immediate region).
