I'm back! Running the First Steps trilogy with a new group at my shop. Upon filling out the report, I see there's a slot for a GM character, referencing GM Rewards. So. What's up with that, how does it work, et cetera?

I know if a table is short a player, the GM can use a pregen to round it out, but what's that got to do with the rest of it?

The GM space for a PC number is for which of your 1st level PCs, who don't already have credit for the scenario, you want to give the credit to.

GM PCs earn maximum gold, 2 PP and 1 XP for the PC the GM assigns the credit to. The PC also gains the benefit of any boons available on the chronicle.

The GM rewards aren't related to the GM using a pregen to fill out the table; they are a place to indicate which of his characters receives credit as a reward for running the scenario.
