Androids and Healing

Rules Questions

Now, from a personal satandpoint, I see them as a true, living race. From the discription, they have blood and other accutruments of being alive, with an added bonus of still having a trace of being contruct. So, for future clarification, do they benefit full from healing magic? 3pp have added Repair versions of healing spells, so are they affected by those as well? And, along these lines of being alive, are they fully affected my mutagens from the Alchemist?

I know how I would rule on this in my personal game, being a yes to all of the above, but I was wondering about the "Official Party Line." :P

Nothing states they don't benefit from healing, and they have a constitution so I'm going with full healing.

Dark Archive

They are healed as normal humanoids, and I'd even allow healing from things that effect objects, but only half-strength.

Liberty's Edge

Androids:

- how noticeable is the "faint metallic sheen to their eyes"?
- some people assume they will not eat or sleep, but I don't see anything saying that in the Android race description, what is the canon interpretation in Golarion?
- they can reproduce with humans or with other androids without the use of magic?

Noticeable enough to expose them as androids if you beat an android's Disguise check. And if an android isn't trying to disguise itself, as noticeable as the color of anyone's eyes.

They eat and sleep. They're humanoids, after all, and unless some rule specifically says otherwise, humanoids eat, drink, and sleep.

That's a good question! I would say no, unless they had some sort of special augmentation that we haven't yet talked about in print.

As James is the creator of the android race I would say that his replies are canon in this instance.

Pretty much the way I thought.

Half-Cylons, uh, I mean androids, might be fun, but nothing really special, rules wise. Maybe an alternate Racial Trait.
