I know its way to early for any solid answers, but I would like to hear some of the communities best guesses on a few things.
1. Will spending time crafting slow your progress in main class? (I.E. My Wizard wants to make and sell) magic items, but not at the cost of power.)
2. Will a single player be able to scrimp and save up enough money to build a Inn or perhaps wizards tower on their own?
3. Anyone else hoping that "The Whispering Way" makes it in as a faction/alliance.
4. Anyone else praying that Lich may be a capstone for a necromancer..heh
That's all for now...I would enjoy to hear some speculation.

1. Yes
2. Yes but maybe not until some time has passed. one to six months ater release if not in the first wave of material.
3. YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!
4. most likely lich will be a feature as a templet or seperat capstone for some ridiculus skill chain or maybe they will eventually introduce a system where you can add templets to your character. lich/werewolf/wererat/advanced so forth. I would not hold my breath however.

1. You don't progress in a class, you train skills under archetypes. some skills will be specific to an archetype, like a Ranger's favored enemy, and others may be supported by that archetype, like training tracking on a ranger(Class vs. Cross Class skills). Crafting will slow you down, crafting supported by your archetype is likely to not slow you down as much. Power is not a steadily increasing line, it rises relatively quickly and starts to level out. If you want to train for raw power, you will have to solely focus on abilities that improve your 'power', but there won't be a huge need to, and gaining archetype merit badges may require you to do things outside of gaining 'power'.
2. Unknown, we don't know if building will be a possible solo endeavor. Don't count on being able to be a lone player, PFO is socially oriented, Druids and Rangers are likely to be the only archetypes that can effectively 'solo' in the game, and will have to do so with considerable difficulty and will probably not become incredibly wealthy.
3. Don't follow pathfinder, here for the game mechanics
4. Don't expect it, the game is supposed to be like the upper-mid levels in the TT. I don't think GW plans to cater to people's desire to pretend they are demi-gods. Alpha-type classes can be fun, but the niche for games with them is so small it is not profitable, in the end they cause more protest and anger than fun.

@Malik, you've already gotten good answers to your questions, but I would also recommend reading the blog Player-Created Buildings and Structures.
