here is my question and I do not expect a definate answer just a ballpark figure
what is the time scale for PFO to come to public
I have too much on plate to search for an answer tho i love the threads and every thing they discuss and GOD BLESS YOU Goblin works for making grinders have to slow dow and giving those of us who like a LONG PLAY GAME like EVE Online to finally get that in a FRPG
but really I would like to know how Long ( aproximately) until we see it in the market

Ballpark is as close as we'll have for a while. Normally MMOs can take anywhere from 3 to 5 years from conception to launch. Given the sandbox nature and the limited release schedule, it's possible we may see it by late 2013 or 2014.

If you ever hear a release date before the game has been in beta for a while, don't believe it.

Seeing as we're talking mmorpgs, usually YEARS; with staggered invites and basic release, it's possible sooner, but still not soon. It's best to blank out expectations of release dates until a countdown can be put in your calender.

In fact release date threads should be locked... these sort of *dangerous* thinking is contagious. ;)

Hello there frequent Visitor.

I have been part of many over-hyped and disappointing Releases.
That tends to get frustrating.
The thrill of anticipation for the game, is the best thing we all can get away with, for now.
Should I be pleasantly surprised by the finished product, thats even better.

In other words and for all of you, who just skip over posts (like me).

The journey is its own reward.
