Hey, I liked it. I mean if you are looking for something thought provoking or cutting edge, yeah, you should skip it. But if you want to see someone go and blow away a lot of bad guys, this definitely the movie to watch. Save the drama for your mama, and go see some heads explode.
I enjoyed it very much; too bad it was slaughtered at the BO. Still, rather have a good movie that will stand the test of time than a middle-of-the-road vehicle which does well the first week and is forgotten.

Hopefully this'll do better overseas where most of the Dredd fans reside. There were only three other dudes in the theater when I saw it Friday night, which is too bad since it was actually pretty freakin' awesome.
Also, it's nice that Karl Urban isn't so full of himself he had to lose his helmet somewhere in the film just so he could get his mug on screen. We finally get a superhero movie where the hero never shows his face or takes his mask (or helmet in this case) off for no apparent reason.
I'm in agreement with pres man on the head-splatterin'. The super slo-mo effects in the movie made for some of the best ultra-violence I've seen since The Immortals.
boxofficemojo said it grossed 4.4 million this weekend in the UK, so that's a little better.
The blu-ray hits this week. It has had excellent reviews - hopefully they do good business.
It doesn't have hammy acting and nearly unintelligible pronunciations of the word LAWWWWWWWWW. I'll pass.
wow. i missed it in the theaters, but well done. very brutal, but true to the source material. here's hoping it gets some cult status.
