Human Female Gunslinger NPC

Miniatures

Hello all -

I'm trying to find a miniature for a human female gunslinger NPC, and I am having little luck. I'm not terribly fond of the Lirianne figure as she seems to be just wearing too much gear for my liking and her face is obscured. I am NOT looking for a scantily clothed gun-wielding miniature either, so please feel free to omit those.

Preferably the figure would be carrying a long rifle of some sort.

I do like this figure, but I would prefer if she was in 28mm.

Any ideas?

The Exchange

The first one I would suggest would Either by Sloan, or one of those scantily clad giant gun anime-based miniatures. EDIT: In case you wanted to see it anyway.

Warmachine is pretty much where you want to go for gunslingers, since alot of people don't like guns in their fantasy, and Warmachine is Steampunk. That said, I like Sloan's Artwork more than her sculpt. Her sculpt also looks a little frail, which is a problem, most of the time. A little more expensive option is the Black 13th Mage Strike Team and the mini on the left is what you're looking for. If you're looking for a bit more modern, might I suggest any of the numberous minis from Infinity: The Game, a game set in the future. Don't say that you shouldn't look in it just because you aren't using a modern mini. You might want to use it anyway, and you might just want to start Infinity. :)

EDIT: Here's one of my favorite minis from Infinity: Reverend Moira Superior Cassandra Kusanagi

Thank you Tirq -

I think I am still leaning toward Sloan at this point, though now it's just a matter of finding her.

Infinity looks interesting . . .

Actually, finding her is really easy. Just go to your FLGS and order it. Unfortunately, all these minis are expensive. In the $10-15 range.

If you do get Sloan, I suggest trying Warmachine. Its a fun game, and Sloan is an important character in it. Just another $40-60 dollars and you can start playing. 2 War Jacks, hopefully with guns, a Solo, and maybe a unit. 2 jacks can be in the $50 dollar range, a solo is almost always below 20, and a unit is also 40~ish. Lets say the jacks are 8 points each and the unit 5. Sloan takes off 6 jack points, leaving you with a 15 point army. EVERYONE can play a 15 point game. Plus the rules are a whole lot like Pathfinder, my turn, your turn, my turn, your turn, end of combat. 1 move, 1 action. Really simple.

Infinity uses the d20s, which I have never seen for another miniature skirmish game. Its also an entirely different system, complete with action in and out of your normal turn. Its also a 25mm miniature, so its the same scale as Pathfinder. The miniatures are also in the $10~20 dollar range, but only a few are larger than 25mm. That, and its practicly free to play. You just need some 1 inch bases and something to remind you which is which. The stats are online, the rules are there too, and its in a great video format on youtube. Of course, we buy the product to support the creators and have some of those beautiful sculpt models.

I hope your search for miniatures goes well, and that you try some new games!

Have you seen the Bones kickstarter? I was looking at these minis, and think they might be reasonable for gunslingers:

Bones Chronoscope minis.

My only problem with those is that the majority of those won't be here until next year. Thats still 4 months of gaming.

@gbonehead - thank you for the suggestion, however this mini is for a campaign I am currently running and (depending on how things go) the players may encounter this particular character this Friday (8/31).

@tirq - I ended up settling on this figure that I found through Wayland Games. It's still not exactly what I'm looking for, but it's close enough.

It sounds like I'm chiming in late on this one, but just for the record, Reaper's Figure Finder is helpful in cases like these:

Female Humans carrying Rifles

Female Humans carrying Pistols

You'll get a mixed batch of pirates, musketeers, steampunk, modern, and sci-fi figures that way, but it's pretty easy to use, and a clever paint job can do much to adapt a mini to your character concept.

I like that mini. I might try to use it sometime, if I can find it.

Late but for the record the Warmachine minis are the same scale as other fantasy minis--as are the related fantasy line. 25 mm and 28 mm are the same, I know that doesn't make any sense, but they are. The official scale is 25 mm, but labeled as "heroic scale" where most models due to how they are sculpted end up being around in reality around 28mm high.

Just noting that 'cause in general they're great sources for fantasy gunslingers.
