Starting today those interested can find streams of broadcasts from Wacken 2012 (largest metal festival in Germany) on the media site of German Public Television here.
Just search for Wacken on the page I linked, the first and largest broadcast is 'Wacken - die ganzen vier Stunden' and contains Shows from Amon Amarth, Saxon, Vollbeat and Sepultura.
During the next week svereal single shows, among them Edguy, In Flames and Hammerfall will be made available and probably stay online for about one or two weeks.
The site is the media page from the TV station broadcasting the Wacken shows in Germany and the streams are completely legit.
Enjoy!

I was there! What a show!
First night was the obligatory Mambo Kurt and Wacken Firefighters sets. Dam its so cool to see a bunch of pierced and tatted up people moshing around to the Mario theme on a GameBoy and then performing a Wall of Death...or having them scream along to Germany's #1 techno "Believe me Wacken I like it Loud" for five full minutes!
"Vacken Vacken Feuerwehr" was the chant for the firefighters! Repeated over and over. LOL. They ended with Deep Purple which set the moshing off to maximum...or was it the Becks beer?!? :)
First full day. 87:44 mark. I pressed my way up to the front the first night when there was only 50,000 or so metalheads in the pit. Got front row for Jim Breuer (Yeah? Yeah? Oooo!), Udo (and Doro..and Mr Lordi). Watched the other stage (Sepultura killed it! and Saxon...not as much), and then the pressure came on for Volbeat. This was their only show in Europe for 2012, so there were a few thousand diehard Volbeat fans that came to Wacken for them only and the crowd got kinda crazy. I made it to "7 shots" and then I ended up stepping on a kids arm that fell in the pit. After helping him up and him assuring me that he was ok, I lost my nerve for the pit and wandered what seemed like several miles of black shirts to get to an open place near the Captain Morgans booth. Listened to the rest of the show from there.
Second day.
Saw Santiano again. Those guys are great! Kind of a Flogging Molly/Fiddlers Green type. Saw Warbringer, Oomph! (who influenced Rammstein), Kamelot, BossHoss (who were awesome!), Overkill (AWESOME!), Opeth (which I didnt like, but the singer is extremely funny between songs), Hammerfall (great!), Dimmu Borgir...then it started raining. If youve been to Wacken you know about the rain. Dam there is no mud like Wacken mud...and cold! In Flames came out and their fire show warmed us up. Im going to have to look them up. Ive seen the cds around but never really listened to them. Then came In Extremo. This band needs to come to the states. They are amazing! DAD played "Sleeping My Day Away" and I went to bed.
Third Day.
Saw Massacre, Weto, and Kylessa. Very cool. Massacre did a Death cover (Mutilation). Then saw Gamma Ray and Axel Rudi Pell (I still love Axel's voice...they did some great stuff!) Then TESTAMENT! (another reason I came to Wacken...did 4 new songs! Awesome!). Then Cradle of Filth, Amon Amarth (gotta look these guys up too. I had written them off before, but live they were great!) Scorpions farewell tour had the unfortunate timing of another downpour but they did Zoo, Blackout, Dynamite, and Loving You Sunday Morning, which I really wanted to hear. Im hoping Schenker and Jabs go out as solo/duo groups later. Then came Machine Head. They wanted to top their 75000-strong circle-pit from last year, but the weather killed some of the momentum. Still veryvery strong set! Al and Ministry came out to pummel the survivors into the mud. His show is very multimedia and I only knew 2 songs...and no "saviour constructed my custom vehicle"! EdGuy finished out the night, but I headed to the tent for some needed sleep. Though we got up at 6 am to get out of the muddy field we parked in.
Anyway, if you get a chance to see this spectacle, GO! Next year, Anthrax, Nightwish, Sabaton (another band I need to look up), Arch Enemy, and Deep Purple have already signed to play in 2013.
