So, I just saw the first season of the anime. I really liked the story line, and did a wiki search to see what more was out there.
Found out it was based on a series of novels (130!!!) by the same author. Talk about epic storyline!
Has anyone read any of the English translations?
Has anyone read the Japanese novels?
Comments and thoughts appreciated.

It had 5 of the novels translated here in the U.S. (plus a 3-issue manga sidestory); there was a hardcover format that I've never actually seen but the softcover format is similar in length and style to the Dark Horse Vampire Hunter D translated novels, if you've ever seen those.
There was a podcast about the Guin Saga novels that can be found here, you'd have to keep in mind that it is an older podcast (2008).
Conveninently, there's a transcript of said podcast that can be found here, at the english translated publisher's website. They also have a free sample excerpt of the first Guin novel also, if you wish to take a look for yourself about how it is.
