getting some gear

Advice

I am a druid, 6, and we just got back to town after looting a blue dragon treasure. My dm didn't want to think of items so he just gave us gp. I am wondering what is some good Druid gear to grab or aspire to grab?

Thx!

Can you tell me how much is some gp?

Giving us a limit and also what kind of druid you are will help us (caster, shifter, summoner, etc.).

Do you already have wild armor? +1 wild dragonscale full plate w/ armor kilt gives you a +11 AC bonus while you're wild shaped with no armor check penalty or proficiency penalty. It's just under 20,000 gp.

EDIT: You can also have magic vestment cast on it, to push your AC up higher.

Buy Fhysical Stat items(HP,AC, Attack and Dmg, Wisdom bonus(Saves, DC extra spells, Amulet of Mighty fists(damage and counting for magic).
Wild on your armor so you gain armor bonusses in Wildshape.
Pick something fun.

Sweet. What kind of later items should I look for?

Some of the best magic items in the game if you are in a typical magic shop campaign anyway, are the metamagic rods. The "lesser extend" rod is great for summoners.

Pearls of power are also fantastic for prepared spellcasters.

The armor Ashiel recommended is really nice, but it uses up almost all of your gold, so if you want to focus on AC, then the armor is the way to go, but if you want to enhance other areas of your character (like spellcasting) then the rod and pearls would be very nice.

You might also want to look at wands of your most common buff spells so that you can keep spell slots open for other spells.

Not sure if you have an AC, but magic barding is a great help for your four-legged pal.

And all the normal magic gear comes in handy too, handy haversacks, bags of holding, CLW wands, etc.

For later Items you should look for the improvements of stat bonusses, But Amulet of NAtural Armor, Ring of Defendingen are also good investments. If you want to reley on you magic, look for Metamagic Rods, they can be very expensive.

Yea if you have a cat companion with pounce the best barding you can get is Rhino Hide from the Core book. +2d6 per attack at the end of a charge and for a cat that gets a full attack at the end of a charge its a devistating bump in damage for fluffy.
